Poker players are given with at least five betting options in poker. Basically, betting is done in a clockwise manner. Poker betting includes the following:
1. A poker player may bet once there is currently no wager on the betting round. The player immediately clockwise to the player who placed the bet can raise, fold or check.
2. The poker player may call to make a bet just enough to match the latest bet of their opponents.
3. The poker player may choose to raise which means betting to match the current bet and to make a bet higher than what is bet by the opponent. Raising is always required to keep their interest on the pot.
4. A poker player checks which means passing to the player located clockwise to make an action. This forfeits the player's interest to make a current bet but not the interest of the player on the pot.
5. A poker player may fold which means they forfeit their interest to the pot. The poker player will no longer be eligible to win the pot and are not allowed to make further wager on the game.
