Rules on How to Play Texas Hold'em Poker

There are many poker game variants that poker players can choose from and one of the most basic and popular poker games is the Texas Hold'em Poker. This is the best poker game to learn when a poker beginner begins to learn how to play poker.

Texas Hold'em can be played from two to ten players. The game is fast paced with simple rules to follow. Poker players are given four betting rounds with five community cards placed faced up at the poker table which will be shared by all of the poker players. Each player is dealt with a couple of cards privately seen only by the player which is placed on the poker table face down.

Poker players should learn how to play poker of Texas Hold'em variant by beginning at learning the basic rules involved of playing the game. All poker players will have their turn of playing as the dealer. There will be a dealer button that will be passed around in a clockwise direction to each player for every hand when it is their turn to act as the dealer.

The pot is formed before any card is dealt through the ante or blind bets that come from the player's wagers. The small blind is the bet placed by the first player sitting to the dealer's left. The next player who is the second player to the left of the dealer places the big blind.

The difference between the big and small blinds lies from the bet amount where big blinds have bigger ante while the smaller blind has a smaller amount of ante. Blind is the term used to refer to the bets placed by the players before they can see the cards.

Each player is dealt with two face-down cards. The player sitting to the left of the big blind will make the first bet to begin the first round of betting where the players can choose to fold, raise or call.

As the second betting round begins, there will now be three community cards on the table. This betting round is also called as the flop. On the turn, the fourth community card will be shown face-up for all poker players to see as the third betting round commences.

The final betting round happens on the river where the final community card is dealt for all poker players to see at the poker table. After the river, showdown begins where each hand of the poker players is ranked.

The player with the highest hand ranking will be declared as the winner. In case there are two hands of the same ranking, the pot will be equally shared by the poker winners.

Learning how to play Texas Hold'em poker is considered to be a good foundation when a poker player plans to learn playing other advanced games of poker. The rules involved are very basic which are perfect for beginners to start with.
